Soap Powder & Synthetic Detergents
Tetra Sodium Pyro Phosphate (TSPP) is incorporated to improve resistance to hard water containing high Magnesium hardness and to disperse insoluble soaps already formed. It is also incorporated in formulation having bleaching action to stabilize Sodium Peborate and minimize the rist of oxidative damages to fabrics.
Alkaline Detergents for Bottle washing Metal Decreasing etc.
The inclusion of Tetra Sodium Pyro Phosphate in detergent mixtures consisting mainly of alkalies assists in the prevention of precipitation of insoluble salts due to presence of hardness ions in solution.
Tetra Sodium Pyro Phosphate is used in the degumming of silk and the removal of calcium alginate linking stitches in hosiery manufacture. Its sequestering and dispering powers are valuable here and its mild alkalinity makes it safer than sodium carbonate. Tetra Sodium Pyro Phosphate can also over come problems caused by traces of heavy metal ions. An example is the stabilisation of bleach liquorshydragen peroxide PH values upto about 10 and sodium chloride down to PH 4 Here its resistance to oxidation is particularly important. Amino Carboxylic acids are destroyed rapidly by chloride and need stabilization in alkaline hydrogen peroxide.
